  • What is retroactive payroll?

  • How does effective-dating work?
    You set the salary change with an effective date, could be past (e.g. July 1), present (today), or future (Jan 1). WORKSPHR auto-recomputes all cycles between effective date and today, generates the back-pay batch.

  • What about retroactive BIR withholding tax?
    When salary increases retroactively, employee's tax bracket may change. WORKSPHR recomputes BIR withholding and shows variance. Under-withheld tax is recovered in the next cycle; over-withheld is refunded at year-end.
  • How are SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG adjustments handled?
    Retroactive salary changes affect statutory contributions. WORKSPHR generates a variance report showing under/over-remitted amounts per agency. Submit corrected R-5/RF-1/MCRF as needed.
  • Can I undo a retroactive adjustment?
