  • How do I edit the org structure in WORKSPHR?
    HR with Edit Departments permission can drag-and-drop nodes in the chart, rename departments inline, reassign managers from a typeahead list, and create or archive departments. Every change is logged in the audit trail.
  • Does the org chart work on mobile?
    Yes. The chart auto-switches between Top-Down and Left-Right layouts, supports pinch-to-zoom and pan, and the employee directory grid collapses to one card per row at 375px. Search and Department filter remain sticky at the top.
  • Does the org chart sync with payroll and leave?
    Yes. Department and manager changes propagate instantly to Payroll cost-centers, Leave approval routing and Performance reviewers. No double entry, no out-of-sync hierarchies.
  • How does search work in the Employee Directory?
    Real-time as you type, no need to press Enter. Match against name, position title, department or work email. Pair it with the Department dropdown to scope to one team. The result counter updates with every keystroke.
  • Who can see the Employee Directory?
    Anyone with the employee_management feature flag and a scope wider than Self Data Only. Employees with Self Data Only scoping see an Access Restricted screen, the directory is intentionally hidden from them per least-privilege principles.
  • Can I export the org chart for board meetings?
    Yes. Export the current chart to PDF or PNG at the click of a button, preserves your active layout (Top-Down or Left-Right), expand state and depth-based color coding.
