  • Who can submit an employee referral?
    Any active employee with portal access can submit a referral for any open position, internal or external. WORKSPHR auto-checks if the referee already exists in your candidate database to avoid duplicates and the awkward two-referrer-one-candidate dispute.
  • How is the referral bonus computed and paid?
    You configure bonus rules per role, for example Php 5,000 for non-tech, Php 15,000 for senior engineers. WORKSPHR auto-flags eligibility on hire, splits payout 50/50 across day-1 and 6-month tenure, and pushes the amount to the next payroll cycle as a non-taxable benefit if it falls within the BIR de minimis ceiling.
  • Can referrers see the status of their referral?
    Yes. From their ESS portal employees see a six-step timeline: Pending, Invited, Applied, Interviewing, Hired, Bonus Eligible / Bonus Paid. They get email and in-app notifications at every stage transition, no need to chase HR for updates.
  • Are referred candidates anonymous to the hiring manager?
    No, the referrer is visible on the candidate card so hiring managers can ask for context. However the referrer cannot see screening notes, salary asks, or interview scorecards, only the high-level status of their referral. This protects candidate privacy without breaking the referral feedback loop.
  • What happens if the referred employee resigns within probation?
    Configurable. The default WORKSPHR rule pays 50% on day 1 and the second 50% only after the new hire passes 6 months of regularization. If they resign before that milestone, the second tranche is not released, with no clawback on the first. You can override per company policy.
